Solution 1: Close QBW32.exe process

The first step is to right-click on the system’s “Windows taskbar” and then choose the “Start Task Manager” option.
To arrange the processes alphabetically, click the “Process tab” and then the “Image Name” header.
Then look for and choose “EXE.”
To end the “exe process,” click “End Process.”

Solution 2: Renaming the QBWUSER.ini. file

If you cannot locate the ini file, try accessing the folder containing it and then turn on hidden files and folders.
After discovering the folder, click on the “QBWUSER.ini.file” and then choose “Rename.”
In the final file name, type “Insert.old” after this.
Change the name of “ecml.file” right away. If QuickBooks continues to function after renaming the file, the problem is resolved.
