1. Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is another facials treatment that uses a small hand-held device to remove the top layer of skin and repair damaged skin cells and impurities. This device works like a vacuum cleaner but has a more precise tip like a diamond or triangle.
However, it does not cause pain. It promotes skin tightening, skin brightening, healthy cell growth, removal of dead cells and impurities, and removal of dark spots and acne scars. Although it does leave your skin red and takes some time to fade away.
Recommended for: All skin types, especially damaged skin, pigmented skin and stretch marks.
2. Chemical Skins
A chemical peel is a process of resurfacing the skin using chemical solutions to create facial cosmetics that help rejuvenate the skin and regenerate skin cells. Chemical peeling, like microdermabrasion, removes the top layer of the skin. This facial takes time as the process involves many small steps in the application. As the skin grows, it becomes smoother and brighter.
Since chemical peels involve the use of chemicals, including some concentrated acids, it’s best to discuss them with your dermatologist first. Different ingredients may work for different people depending on their skin type. Sometimes it leaves a slight pain and itchiness, but it is natural and part of the face, but if the skin problems worsen, it is best to consult a doctor.
Recommended for: aging skin, scars
3. Oxygen For The Face
Oxygen is an essential component for regulating proper blood circulation and maintaining skin cells, which affects our skin. Habits such as smoking and using excessive amounts of makeup and environmental damage to the skin can lead to a lack of oxygen in the skin.
In an oxygen facial, a pressure device releases oxygen under high pressure onto the skin. Along with oxygen, other exfoliating, skin firming and pore cleansing agents are included for added benefits. This is followed by the use of serums or oils depending on your skin type to hydrate it as high pressure can dry out your skin.
Recommended for: All skin types
4. Facial Dermaplaning
Facial dermaplaning involves a more advanced tool and that is the surgical scalpel. However, it does not harm everyone. A scalpel is used to gently scrape away hairs and the top layer of your epidermal skin, which may be clogged with dirt, dead skin cells or unwanted debris. Scraping allows the formation of new, healthy skin with the ability to penetrate the product deeper into the skin.
Dermaplaning is not recommended for people with cystic acne, as a scalpel can cause more harm than good. This can be painful because performing a scalpel does not require uneven or rough surfaces. Followed by moisturizers and oils to promote faster growth of healthy cells.
Recommended for: All skin types except acne
5. Facial Enzyme
Enzyme facial treatment is a long process that follows a specific procedure. The process begins with a basic cleanse, steam and exfoliation, followed by the application of moisturizers and face masks. This is one of the best types of facial treatments because face masks are naturally derived from fruits that contain various enzymes.
Different enzymes have different nutritional benefits for the skin depending on skin type and skin needs. Facial Enzyme is useful for skin rejuvenation, skin tan, skin blemishes and small scars.
Recommended for: Tanned skin, Scarred skin
